Active/passive solar home completion spring 2010, this 2,350 sq. ft.
two-storey barn style home on the banks of the Crowe River has solar
heat collection from the roof stored in 6 inches of concrete and
14 inches of gravel under the home.  The heat is released slowly and
is supplemented by a wood stove and propane furnace.  The upper roof
has 5 kw of solar panels that feed electricity into the power grid and
produce revenue of approximately 4,500 a year.
